Shabbat Poetry Writing Workshop with Audrey Nolte
- March 14th, 2020
- 10:00am-11:30am
According to Psalms, “There is a future for one who finds peace and wholeness.” We find poetry in nature, prayers,
music and literature. In preparation for National Poetry Month, National
Writing Project Fellow Audrey Nolte will guide participants through a writing experience that emphasizes the senses, blends personal vision and inspires us
to take Shabbat out of the box. Bring a notebook, a favorite pen, and an open mind. Feel free to bring personal poems, prayers, psalms pictures and memories for inspiration.

Bicycling, Running or Walking with Marty Katz
Upper Saucon Township Community Park- 3231 Preston Ln., Bethlehem PA
- May 9th, 2020
- 9:30am-11:30am
- Pot luck lunch at 12 noon
Honoring nature is one of the ways many people engage in the Shabbat spirit. We will experience Shabbat and get closer
to nature, by mixing Shabbat reflections with traveling the beautiful Saucon Valley Rail Trail. The activities and levels (bike, run, walk) will be determined by the preferences of those who register.
We will gather at 9:30 a.m. at the Upper Saucon Park pavilion with readings to help us tune into nature and Shabbat.
We will split into groups for our preferred activities and finish our activity with more readings. There will be an option for a potluck lunch for those who wish to stay and break bread together. The event is weather dependent. Notice will be posted on the KI website if it is necessary to cancel.
