Holidays are a joyous, meaningful and spiritual time at Keneseth Israel. They range from the serious and contemplative High Holy Days where we use the Reform movement Mishkan HaNefesh, to a raucous Purim spiel, from a quiet dinner in the Sukkah to the famous Brotherhood Latke Party.

While we may vary what we do – just tried Sippin’ In the Sukkah for the first time in 2019, we also enjoy some favorites. Our annual Super Shabbat Seder draws a huge crowd, features innovative video and music and has been a mainstay at KI since 2013. Our Dairy Brunch and Lecture at Shavuot is a perennial favorite, but none tops the Purim Spiel. From the Wizard of Oy to Grease, a Broadway Retro to Little Orphan Esther, KI has fun with this holiday.

All our services are free – including the High Holidays – but of course, we always welcome and accept donations…just not on Shabbat or Yentif.
