Director of Jewish Education

As a passionate educator in both Judaic and secular environments, Brett Oslon serves as our incoming Religious School Director at Keneseth Israel.  Throughout his 25 years in education, Brett has passionately advocated for student voice in both Hebrew School and public school settings.  Brett's experiences span from teaching fourth and fifth graders at Temple Brith Achim in King of Prussia, PA, to teaching the Gratz College Future Hebrew Educator course.

As we progress to 5786 and the upcoming Hebrew School year, Brett's focus hinges on examining Keneseth Israel's past to shape our community's future.  The curriculum will blend traditional courses of study, including Hebrew, holidays, ethics, and lifecycle events in Reform Judaism, with project-based learning that highlights our vibrant history.

Brett looks forward to building meaningful relationships with our community as we collectively study our role as Reform Jews during these challenging times.  Since the Shoresh of Israel is "Shin, Aleph, Lamed", those letters form the word to question in Hebrew.  Our Hebrew School students will drive their learning by asking meaningful questions that yield answers for Keneseth Israel's collective benefit.
