Celebrating our 7th year of creative and interesting activities to inspire your Shabbat experience.

Challah Making

Vayeilech

In Jewish tradition, round challah is commonly associated with Rosh Hashanah it symbolizes continuity and endless blessings.

 

Come join us for a fun baking experience with master baker Martina Obenski. Due to the process of using yeast, a light lunch will be served. NOTE: This event has a limit of 12 people. Ages 12 & up.


Israeli Dancing

Noach

Shabbat is a special time to experience joy and community through music and movement. Join Rabbi Shoshanah as she leads us in traditional Israeli folk dances. No experience necessary. Open to all ages.

Card Making for our Community

Vayishlach

Last year we brought Hanukkah cheer to more than 80 members of the Lehigh Valley Jewish community. Join Lynda Pollack once again for a morning of fun, creativity, and kindness as we continue our Hanukkah card making tradition.

 

Art supplies will be provided. Note: Women of Kl will be making cookies to include with the cards. We invite you to participate in this as well. Ages 7 to 100.


Mandalas with Susan Hardy

Although mandalas are most identified with Hinduism and Buddhism, images similar to mandalas are actually a widespread tradition in various religions, including Judaism. The repetitive, symmetrical patterns in mandalas can be meditative, promoting relaxation, creativity, and a sense of calm. Come join Susan as she guides us through this ancient practice. No art experience necessary; supplies will be provided. Ages 7 to 100.



 

An Art Experience to Explore Diversity

Creativity opens our minds to endless possibilities, helping us better understand the diversity within ourselves and the world around us. Join Jett Ulaner Sarachek, certified professional counselor and art therapist, as we explore these possibilities through art. No art experience necessary. Supplies provided. Ages 10 to 100.



Nature as Our Guide

Vayikra

Modern Judaism values our stewardship of the environment. Join master gardener Lisa Knicos to explore Jewish texts and ways we can develop our relationship with the natural world. All life depends on plants! There will be a presentation, discussion, and something to take home with you. Ages 12 to 100.


Sing for Your Supper - Take 3!

Tazria-Metzora

Back by popluar demand is our Havdalah service, sing-a-long and potluck dinner with Donna Fisher, Alan Salinger, and Jan Herzog! Come ready to sing, hum along, or tap your feet to this year's musical choices. No singing experience necessary. All ages welcome. Bring your family and friends. Please submit potluck offering at time of registration.


Torah Study and Bike/Hike
