Year Six - Join the Mix!

Celebrating our 6th year of creative and interesting activities to inspire your Shabbat experience.

  • Locations vary.
  • Outdoor activities are weather permitting.

Everyone is welcome so please feel free to bring your friends and family. All events are free.

Registration is essential - no walk-ins will be permitted.

Belly Dancing with Tavia Minnich

Tavia has been performing and teaching Turkish-Egyptian fusion and Turkish Romani belly dancing for the past 13 years. Before we shimmy, you'll learn about the various belly dancing styles, history and other fun information. Wear comfortable clothing. If you have a hip scarf, feel free to bring it with you.

Ages 10 to 100 (parents, please accompany young people under 16).


Hiking to Celebrate the Wonders of Nature

Shabbat is a special time to enjoy nature and be grateful for the world around us. Join Lisa Knicos for a hike as we get our heart rates up and notice the beauty of the world that surrounds us. Open to all ages. Location will be given after registration.

Last year we brought Hanukkah cheer to more than 80 members of the Lehigh Valley Jewish community. Join Lynda Pollack once again for a morning of fun, creativity, and kindness as we continue our Hanukkah card making tradition. Art supplies will be provided. Note: Women of KI will be making cookies to include with the cards. We invite you to participate in this as well. Ages 7 to 100.

Back by popluar demand is our Havdalah service, sing-a-long and potluck dinner with Donna Fisher, Alan Salinger, and Jan Herzog! Come ready to sing, hum along, or tap your feet to musical choices from the Rise Up song book of familiar songs. No singing experience necessary. All ages welcome. Bring your family and friends. Please submit potluck offering at time of registration.
