1. Welcome the Day with Meditation

9:30am - 35 minutes - Sit back and relax in a morning meditation session with Ann Friedenheim focusing on mindfulness and joy. Feel free to "bring" a hot beverage, a comfortable place to sit, and a willing attitude -- no experience necessary. 

2. Torah Study with Rabbi Seth

 

10:15am - 35 minutes - Team work or team of rivals? Korach vs Moses 

3. Brit Olam & Social Action

 

11:00am 35 minutes - Learn about how the Jewish tradition of concern for social justice is coming to life at Kl through our brit olam - our covenant with the world. Grow in your knowledge, in an interactive and engaging way.

4. Chill'n and Grill'n with Chef Eric and Joshua

 

11:45am 50 minutes - Learn some tricks and tips for creating a spring barbeque lunch fit for a quarantined family. Follow along as we create the best burger you ever had - The Joshinator. Recipes with tips and tricks to be distributed beforehand.

5. Binge-worthy books and movies presented by WOKI

 

12:45pm 35 minutes - Share what has captured and kept your attention during this period. What movie, series, book or podcast have you discovered that was entertaining, educational or exciting? The one you kept talking about. Come and share your discovery. We'll compile a full list for everyone.

6. Jokes and Laughs with our Marvelous Mrs. Kushner

 

1:30pm 20 minutes - "I like to leave people laughing!" Our Ki Queen of Quip will be sharing her most risqué jokes in this sassy, fresh comedy show (but warning, it's adults-only).

7. Craft Time presented by Ki Religious School

 

2:00pm 35 minutes - Remote Mitsvot Dice- "Kids can make their own 'mitsva dice' using a printed pattern for a paper box, a pen and transparent tape. Writing their six favorite mitsvot, one on each side of the box, kids confined to home will have a fun way to choose each day's mitsva."

8. Move with Melissa

 

2:45pm 50 minutes - Maimonides states that a person "should engage one's body and exert oneself in a sweat-producing task each morning." During this exercise session let's get our heart rates up and move our bodies.

9. Mussar: Learning Starts with Humility

 

3:45pm 35 minutes - "Occupy a rightful space, neither too much nor too little." Join Pete Barbour for a Mussar moment when he will lead a discussion about the soul trait, Humility.

10. Storytime

 

4:30pm 20 minutes - Once upon a time in a sanctuary not so far away, a storytime was planned for all the people in their community. All children are invited with their families and friends to join Kl congregants as they share their favorite stories. 

11. Happy Hour-breakout rooms

 

5:00pm 35 minutes - Of all the hours, this is the happiest! Grab a drink and come be happy. Everyone will have the opportunity to join 3 different chats to connect with their Ki family.

 

12. Meet President Marty and the Board of Trustees

 

5:45pm - 25 minutes Looking Ahead - New Executive Committee & Board and Developing Our Focus. Meet some Officers and Board Members, hear evolving thoughts on our focus, and learn how you can give your input.

CLOSED FOR DINNER BREAK  - 6:15pm - Unplug, sit back, and enjoy the comforts of your family for a cozy dinner at home.

13. Kl is Our Home and Havdallah with Noah Aronson

 

7:30pm 60 minutes - Log back on to Zoom for the grand finale! Don't miss our special Havdalah featuring Noah Aronson as he leads us in the spiritual warmth of prayer and song.
