Let’s Explore Them Together
A Year-Long Series of Interactive Workshops for Everyone
Have you ever wondered about the meaning behind Jewish holidays—their stories, symbols, and timeless traditions? Whether you are Jewish, part of an interfaith family, or simply curious about the beauty and wisdom within Judaism, you’re invited to join us for “Curious About the Jewish Holidays? Let’s Explore Them Together,” a year-long series of five interactive workshops designed to bring the Jewish calendar to life.
Funded by a generous grant from the National Center to Encourage Judaism, this program offers a welcoming space to learn, ask questions, and experience the richness of Jewish culture, customs and community. Each session focuses on one or more holidays, blending conversation, hands-on activities, and a sampling of traditional foods.
Every workshop is led by an engaging facilitator who will guide participants through the themes, rituals, and modern meaning of the holidays. Together, we’ll explore:
- High Holidays & Shabbat – Reflect on renewal, forgiveness, and the rhythm of sacred rest.
- Sukkot & Shavuot – Discover the connection between harvest, gratitude, and the giving of the Torah.
- Chanukkah – Learn the story of light, resilience, and rededication that continues to inspire.
- Purim – Celebrate courage and hidden miracles through storytelling and festive traditions.
- Passover – Experience freedom’s journey with symbols, tastes, and timeless lessons.
This series is open to the public—perfect for those seeking to deepen their understanding of Judaism or explore the meaning behind holidays often seen on the calendar but not always understood. Couples, families, and individuals of all backgrounds are warmly welcome.
Come for one session or the entire series, and discover how Jewish holidays connect deeply to universal values—gratitude, freedom, justice, and joy.
Your $30.00 registration fee will secure your seat for all classes.
